The life and ongoing legacy of Dallas Bump (1918-2016), fourth-generation chair-maker from Bear, Arkansas, is explored by guest speakers John J. Archibald & Leon and Donna Sutton. Bump, named an Arkansas Living Treasure in 2013, handcrafted furniture for more than 75 years.

John J. Archibald is the editor and publisher of Ouachita Life magazine. He writes often on Arkansas history topics. Leon Sutton (Dallas’ nephew) and his wife, Donna, continue the family chair-making tradition at Bear Chair Shop.
