Artifacts and Objects

Through the generosity of many donors, GCHS has accumulated a diverse and interesting assortment of artifacts and objects related to the history of Garland County and Hot Springs. In the reception area, hallways, and rooms, visitors can see many of these mementos of our past.

On shelves in the reception area and in display boxes and shelves in the hallways are memorabilia from (among others) local businesses, bathhouses, and casinos of Hot Springs’ gambling era.

In the Veterans Room, flags, commemorative plaques, and other military memorabilia are on display. Highlighted in this room is the collection donated by the 223rd Combat Communications Squadron.

In the Marcus Phillips collection are some of his early surveying and drawing instruments, vests, walking sticks, and other objects which enable the viewer to better understand his lifetime achievements.
